Not content with the usury fees of Sophia's Daughters and The Player's Guide, they're now asking 371.27 for this...

Meanwhile, Dallas, sensing Columbus has overplayed their hand, opts for the more conservative raise to 580.37.

Some disgruntled employee is having fun with the account.

Now if it pays off, he is in line for promotion. if it does not... the book sits on the shelf.

I read a news article once about a bot program that online stores can use to set prices. It is based off of available prices for similar items it finds online. There was a similar situation where 2 retailers using it had a ridiculous run up in price on an item they seemed to be the only 2 sellers of online. That is until a human noticed and the pricing dropped. This may be what is happening.

It has been a couple of years but I may try searching it out.

So after I finally gave in and emailed them the prices dropped back to (somewhat) reasonable levels. I figured they'd finally gotten their act together, right?

Nope. I'm puttering around last night and dallas-hpb's Crescent book has hit 5k...
