Talk about scarey!

With all this stuff happening here reguarding the bombing at the Marathon, averagely you would think that the men who did it would have flown from the area. Well, I guess not. If you haven't seen the update reguarding the shooting last night, its probably country wide news, the area that the shooting took place was less than a block from where I work!
Watertown isn't very large, and my store I work at is on the 'edge' from Watertown, and we get a lot of them as customers. To wake up and see about the shooting last night just freaks me out. I am so glad I don't have to go to work today, as from the sounds of it, I doubt I'd be able to drive down the street near work anyway. Just plain scarey!

Edit 9:31am. Just checked my e-mails. We get alerts from work in case of closings for snowstorms and such, and they sent alert saying they are closed today, due to the fact they are in the hunt zone for the bomber.

So it 's a wasted day off. They owe you a new day off. On the plus side, you know exactly where the national media is screwing up their information in regards to locations.

Haven't heard any news if they found the SUV that was hijacked, and the one in the white hat drove through the police line with yet. With the T locked down, if I were him, I'd be using the rail lines to get away, as most of the area they are in, are below site line of most areas,(most of the train line is below ground level, so its like a long crevasse) and if the T isnt using them, and I imagine they are keeping other rail traffic from the area too, its like a hidden roadway to escape, unless of course they have people watching the railways just in case, but its hard to know exactly what they are doing. I just know I'm not heading out anywhere soon, just staying home and relaxing, playing on the web.

Well, they caught the guy, thank goodness. So now I can go to work tomorrow, and not worry about bombs or guns going off anywhere near there.

Just for curiosity, I googled where they caught the bomber. My store is located at the lower left exactly where the 90 state marker is, and the bomber was caught at the red A marker. Its was about a mile and a quarter from my work.

Ment to mention, but forgot, since I was tired when I got home last night. At 2:50pm yesterday afternoon, the State of Massachusetts had a moment of silence for the marathon victums, as it was a week exact since the bombing had happened. It was quite eerie, but kinda awesome that in our very big busy bustling store, at that time, everyone stopped still, and was quite, even new customers that came in, stopped and were quiet, that you could have heard a pin drop.
