ToTo, where are you ToTo?!

Feeling so Dorothy right now, with the way the weather has been outside all night. Haven't gotten much sleep, when the wind is blowing so hard, the house is shaking, and the rain hitting so hard from the wind it sounds like its hail (could be hail at times, I haven't looked).

Last time we had winds like this we had half a tree come down in our back yard. I'm waiting for the other half to drop, and not looking forward to having to drive to work in this weather, as I don't know how many trees might have come down along the way I drive, which for the first part of it, is quite a wooded area. Actually haven't heard a car all night, and usually our road is fairly busy since it follows the same path of the major roadway, so people use it to try to beat the traffic.

The umbrella is going to be useless, the wind would tear it up in a heartbeat, so I'm going to be well soaked by the time I get from the place we are allowed to park, to the store building.

Well, the house didn't blow away, but the wind blew out the hot water tanks pilot somehow, so we were without hot water for a day and a half. Finally was able to re-light it yesterday evening. Wind did some damage to the house too, tore down a water gutter pipe in one area, and also ripped off the tar paper roof over the second story windows and poarch roof. Haven't been able to check for any other damage. Surprisingly though, my phone did not go off line, like it usually does in rainy weather, but maybe it is because I just got it fixed barely the weekend before.
