League City, May 20, 2014 — The AFPM (American Fuel and Petrochemical Manufacturers) held their 22nd annual safety award dinner at The Grotto and Lonesome Dove Room at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas on Thursday, May 15th. The contractor Meritorious Safety Performance award is given to contractors that have worked a minimum of 20,000 hours per calendar year at a facility and have achieved a total recordable incidence rate of 0.6 or less with no workplace related fatalities during the calendar year.  Member facilities must approve each contractor's application and their OSHA 300A Summary log to receive the award.

Roy Bowman Joins CertifiedSafety
as Chief Financial Officer

League City, August 21, 2013 — CertifiedSafety is pleased to announce that Mr. Roy Bowman has joined the company as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Bowman will work collaboratively with fellow members of the executive team to directly support the CEO and Board of Directors’ strategic vision and future direction of the firm. He will be responsible for spearheading financial and treasury management initiatives to increase the company’s bottom line and ensure that company’s goals are met.

Mr. Bowman has spent 30+ years of his career serving as Chief Executive Officer, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Controller for companies in the manufacturing, aviation, energy trading, oil and gas exploration, residential construction, mortgage lending, real estate and automotive retail sectors. Mr. Bowman has had many accomplishments throughout his career. Most recently, he was successful in implementing standards and restructured $100 million of the credit facility available for ERCOT, as their Interim Chief Financial Officer. He also was successful in securing 100% financing to purchase a $50 million offshore pipeline and established credit facilities with financial institutions in excess of $40 million, as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Gasmark, Ltd.

League City, May 22, 2013 — CertifiedSafety received an Excellence award from the Northwest Indiana Business Roundtable (NWIBRT). This honor was given based on safety criteria outlined by regional and national standards, including employee days away from work, total recordable incident rate, and recordable injury, on restricted duty or illness rates.

CertifiedSafety Celebrates Ground Breaking
for New Corporate Office

Deer Park, Texas, August 29, 2012 — CertifiedSafety’s management team commenced the construction for its new corporate office in League City, Texas. The new facility, expected to open its doors in December 2012, is located at 1177 Butler Avenue in League City, Texas, just a half mile from Highway 45.

Tony Spencer (CEO and President), Joe Sgarlata (Vice President of Operations), Michael Brown (Vice President) and Sean Smith (Vice President of Business Development) participated in a morning groundbreaking ceremony at the site to mark the official beginning of construction.

“Since CertifiedSafety opened its company doors in 2001 in Deer Park, Texas. The industry response to our safety support services has grown along with the value CertifiedSafety adds to its clients and their facilities," said Tony Spencer, CEO and President. "This has prompted tremendous growth for the company, and we're pleased to be moving to a larger office to accommodate even more anticipated growth."

"We strive to stay at the forefront of providing our clients with consistently well trained employees that provide our clients with valuable safety solutions," said Joe Sgarlata, Vice President of Operations. "Now with more space, we can develop and implement even more cutting-edge training to our employees and applicants so that we can continuously enhance the value we bring to our client’s projects.”

The interior of the building will have an energy efficient design with over 11,500 square feet of office space that includes an amphitheater style training room and over 2,000 square feet of covered hands on training facility. The exterior of the building will have reflective roofing for energy efficiency, abundance of outside storage capacity, trailer parking, ample parking for our human resources and training. The facility expansion represents the company’s ongoing strategic commitment to providing comprehensive solutions.

The contractor’s application must be approved by a regular member facility after the OSHA 300A Summary log information has been submitted.

Shannon Posey Joins CertifiedSafety as Corporate Health and Safety Director

March 6, 2012—Deer Park, Texas —CertifiedSafety recently announced the addition of Mr. Shannon Posey as its new Corporate Health and Safety Director. Mr. Posey will be responsible for all corporate Health and Safety strategies and polices and will focus on continuing the development of our corporate Health and Safety culture. In addition, Shannon will lead the company's efforts to identify and implement best practices for executing safe projects in a manner that enhances the budget and schedule performance of the project.

Mr. Posey has over seventeen years of diverse experience directing Health and Safety Management at the corporate, project, and plant level for industrial construction, energy, environmental and industrial service companies. He has designed, developed and implemented advanced Safety and Health Management systems and programs for national and international projects. Shannon is responsible for the management and direction of Health, Safety and Environmental policies for all aspects of CertifiedSafety's business.

CertifiedSafety Opens a Third Location

February 20, 2012—Deer Park, Texas—CertifiedSafety opened a new regional office in Whiting, Indiana this month. The company is headquartered in Deer Park, Texas and provides third-party safety services to major refineries, chemical, gas and power plants nationwide. The new Whiting office is their third regional facility and will serve many clients in the Mid-West including BP Whiting, the seventh largest refinery in the U.S.
