The contractor Meritorious Safety Performance award is bestowed upon contractors that have worked a minimum of 20,000 hours per calendar year at a facility and have achieved a total recordable incidence rate of 0.8 or less with no workplace related fatalities during the calendar year. Member facilities must approve each contractor's application and their OSHA 300A Summary log to receive the award. The contractor’s application must be approved by a regular member facility after the OSHA 300A Summary log information has been submitted. The company is headquartered in Deer Park, Texas and provides third-party safety services to major refineries, chemical, gas and power plants nationwide. The new Whiting office is their third regional facility and will serve many clients in the Mid-West including BP Whiting, the seventh largest refinery in the U.S. "While it is not practical for us to open a branch office in every locale that we work in, we feel it is important to be as customer and community-centered as we can," said Tony Spencer, CEO of CertifiedSafety. January 9, 2012—Deer Park, Texas—CertifiedSafety recently announced the addition of Mr. Cliff Warrick as its new Training and Development Manager. Mr. Warrick will be responsible for assessing training needs and developing programs that align with CertifiedSafety's policies and procedures
"Cliff is a highly experienced individual who brings a wealth of industry knowledge and extensive skills developing training programs. CertifiedSafety will continue enhancing our employee's job knowledge in order to provide our client's with the most qualified safety personnel in the industry," said Joe Sgarlata, Vice President of Operations for CertifiedSafety.
Mr. Warrick brings years of training experience to his new role at CertifiedSafety. For over ten years, he has determined the necessary training requirements, developed lesson plans and training aids, conducted classroom and practical training, and analyzed training effectiveness for the petrochemical industry. Mr. Warrick will reside in our Benicia California office.

| John Hehn is the new General Manager of Professional Safety Services for CertifiedSafety |
Mr. Hehn has worked in the industry for 28-years. During his time with Amoco Oil Company and later with BP, he traveled the globe working in Operations Management and Construction Management but during the last 12-years he specialized in Health/Safety/Environmental Management (HSE).
He will be applying his vast experience to help CertifiedSafety grow their Professional Safety Service business line. To that end, he will be responsible for developing strategies, objectives, requirements and standards for that business line. He said, “We are going to put a very rigid process in place so that we can attract and retain top quality safety professionals that will be a valuable asset to our clients.”
